Meet Cory Reese

I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, and owner of

Bright Way. I offer solution-focused therapeutic services.

I use EMDR and IFS (Internal Family Systems) to work with faith transitions. I am also certified in Psychedelic-Assisted Therapy, and offer in-office ketamine-assisted therapy sessions. I know how to turn trauma into post-traumatic growth.

Trauma and PTSD

Trauma can have a dramatic impact on how we see ourselves and the world. Some common examples of trauma are:

  • Religious trauma & faith transitions

  • A history of abuse

  • Being neglected as a child

  • Experiencing spiritual or religious abuse

  • Being in an accident or natural disaster

  • Being attacked or assaulted

  • Witnessing domestic abuse or violence

  • Trauma as a result of being part of the LGBTQ community

  • A sudden death of a loved one

I am trained in EMDR therapy which is an evidence-based treatment that is highly effective in helping people recover from trauma and other difficult life experiences. I provide a safe, non-judgmental environment for healing. You don't need to face this challenge alone.

Ketamine-assisted therapy offers a promising avenue for mental health treatment, particularly for individuals with treatment-resistant conditions like depression, PTSD, and anxiety. It has been extremely effective in helping people let walls down, and get to the root cause of issues. Additionally, ketamine's ability to enhance neuroplasticity helps promote long-term benefits because you're actually creating new neural networks or ways of thinking. Ketamine offers hope for those who have struggled to find relief through conventional treatments.

Life Stressors

Stress is a normal part of life. But if the stress becomes long-term, or difficult to manage on your own, the outside perspective and support of a therapist can be very helpful. Some common stressors that people seek help for are:

  • Heavy workload or taking on too much responsibility

  • Being unhappy at your job

  • Fear of public speaking

  • Faith transitions

  • Test anxiety

  • Facing discrimination

  • Loneliness or lack of support

  • Birth of a child

  • Low self-esteem
